Full job description

ABOUT THE POSITION

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is currently accepting resumes for the Training Coordinator position at our Head Office in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. This is a full-time, in-office role with regular working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

SCOPE

Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of employee training and development programs.
Work closely with managers, trainers, and employees to ensure training initiatives are effectively scheduled, administered, and aligned with organizational goals.
Coordinate and support Indigenous workforce development and training initiatives, including apprenticeship programs, community-based training opportunities, Indigenous employment commitments, and tracking of Indigenous training hours to support corporate and project-specific objectives.
Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment Department to coordinate, track, and fulfill organizational training requirements.
Manage training calendars, venues, and online learning platforms.
Work closely with multiple project teams to maintain accurate training records and employee development data.
Communicate training opportunities and registration details to staff.
Prepare training materials, presentations, and participant resources.
Monitor attendance and evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and feedback.
Assist in the development and implementation of leadership development programs.
Generate reports on training participation, compliance, and outcomes.
Ensure training activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Adult Learning, or a related field.
Minimum of one year of experience in training coordination, learning and development, HR, or administration.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
