DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform packaging
- Can perform sub-assemblies in accordance with instructions provided (i.e. work instructions/pack lists/ODS)
- Can use hand tools as specified below
- Can use arbor press for sub-assembly work
- Must meet production standards
- Must be able to read and interpret Operational Detail sheets and work instructions
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accurate completion of product assemblies/sub-assemblies
- Obtain Enhanced Security Clearance from the Government of Canada
- Maintenance of secure and confidential company information
- Adherence to Colt Canada Corporation’s policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an ISO certified environment
- Must have experience working in an assembly environment
- Experience with use of hand tools: hammer, punch, screwdriver, scissors, allen keys, pliers
- Experience with use of machinery is an asset: arbor press, heat sealer and staking device
- RPAL Licensing – is an asset, ability to obtain RPAL is required
CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal – All department and personnel, specifically Supervisor, Lead Hands, Machine Operators, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Control etc.
- External – Auditors, Suppliers
WORKING ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUES, CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Manufacturing Environment (PPE Required) – Lifting up to 50lbs frequently, long periods of time standing, frequent repetitive activity, requiring manual dexterity/fine motor skills
- Range & Lab (PPE Required) – depending on licensing, up to 5% of time spent in range

Security Clearance and Screening Requirements
Due to the nature of our operations and regulatory environment, all employees are required to meet specific security and compliance standards.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates must:
- Consent to and complete a criminal record check
- Be eligible for and successfully complete a Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Security Assessment
- Be eligible to obtain a Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence (RPAL) and maintain it after company provided training
In addition, candidates must:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance under the Contract Security Program (CSP), as required for the role
For certain roles with financial or inventory responsibilities, candidates may also be required to:
- Consent to a credit check
