Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Cook to prepare nutritious and appealing meals for children in our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, food safety, and serving young children. This role is vital in ensuring that our children receive healthy meals in a safe and welcoming environment, supporting their growth and development.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and nutritional standards.
Serve meals to children in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing food items.
Follow all food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure a safe eating environment.
Plan menus that are healthy, balanced, and appropriate for children’s age groups.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as needed to ensure continuous meal availability.
Collaborate with daycare staff to accommodate special dietary needs or allergies of children.

Qualifications

Prior experience in food preparation, serving, or working in a kitchen environment; restaurant or food industry experience is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and meal preparation techniques suitable for children.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and manage multiple tasks efficiently during meal times.
Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff members.
A genuine interest in providing nutritious meals that promote healthy growth for children.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to children's well-being while working in a supportive daycare environment dedicated to quality care and nutrition.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
