Food & Beverage Manager

Location: Annapolis Valley Region, NS

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year

About the Opportunity

A premier resort property located in the Annapolis Valley region is seeking a dynamic, strategic Food & Beverage Manager to oversee and elevate our multi-venue F&B operations. Designed to attract both experienced F&B leaders and Director-level candidates seeking a compelling role in a luxury resort environment, this position offers complete operational oversight of our upscale dining room, vibrant lounge, golf course clubhouse pub, seasonal patio, and room service operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Oversee daily operations across all F&B venues, establishing performance standards, operational excellence, and corporate SOP compliance.
Financial Oversight & Administration: Drive financial performance through annual budget management, labor and food cost controls, purchasing, weekly/monthly revenue reports, and competition pricing analyses.
Team Development & Retention: Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of up to 30 employees, fostering a culture of hospitality, continuous on-the-job training, and professional development.
Guest Experience & Quality Control: Maintain a strong presence during peak dining hours, build rapport with repeat clientele, handle escalated feedback, and maintain top-tier service standards.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Chef and sales/events teams to develop seasonal promotions, ensure local liquor law compliance, and maintain safety and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience in a high-volume hotel, full-service resort, or multi-outlet environment.
Degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of F&B operations, strong bar and wine expertise, and proficiency in POS systems (e.g., MICROS) and MS Office.
Demonstrated financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, inventory control, revenue forecasting, and market positioning.
Proven success managing and inspiring diverse teams, with strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Schedule & Working Conditions

Full-time, permanent salaried position requiring flexible availability (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on resort operational demands).
