RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE/INTERPRETIVE GUIDE– HALIFAX WATERFRONT
SEASONAL - JUNE-OCTOBER
Every person who walks through the doors of an Amos Pewter shop does so for a particular reason. From our long-time loyal customer who is looking to add to their collection to the new customer who was attracted by the hand-crafted pieces in the window display and even the person walking along the waterfront who just ducked into the shop for a few minutes to escape the heat. We know that our hand-crafted pewter creations are exceptional – kudos to all our artisans for their creativity and attention to detail. We want you to be the icing on our cake!
A typical day for you might include:
· Welcoming visitors with all the enthusiasm of seeing an old friend
· Helping a young man find the Wild Rose necklace he came in to buy for his partner and wrapping it up with the matching earrings you pointed out
· Wowing visitors with your knowledge of pewter as you share the steps in the design and production process that transform the solid ingot of pewter into the hand-crafted pieces in the shop
· Calling Mahone Bay to order more nativity sets
· Channeling your inner neat-freak throughout the shop

· Have the superpower of knowing what the perfect gift is for that special someone even though you’ve never met them
· Can make somebody’s day better just because of the great experience they have with you
· Are able to explain just about anything to anyone, face-to-face and on the phone
· Can think on your feet and feel confident in your decision-making
· Would be enthusiastically described as “reliable, flexible and dedicated” by your previous employers

Pay: $16.75-$17.00 per hour
