Full job description

Are you a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and accuracy? Do you take an interest in technology and fire systems? Are you results-driven? Apply to join our team as a Fire and Life Safety Service Technician! You'll work for a growing, family-owned company that has been providing Canadians with locally-based service for over 100 years.

The Role:

Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of fire and life safety systems including fire panels, intrusion systems, emergency lighting, and intercoms.
Perform inspections of systems and upgrades with accuracy to meet client needs and expectations.
Uphold company and industry standards for quality and within recognized guidelines.
Resolve client concerns and provide exceptional client service, making recommendations where appropriate to ensure optimal system function.
Maintain accurate service records, including detailed notes and inventory.
Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50+ lbs.
Must be able to work safely in a construction site environment.

Qualifications:

Ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment is required.
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Motivated self starter and effective team player.
Must have a clean criminal record and a valid drivers license.
Experience in the fire industry or relevant education considered an asset.

This is a full-time permanent position with a very attractive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Positions are being filled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
