Veterinary Assistant

Location: Eastern Passage, NS

Eastern Passage Village Veterinary Clinic is currently welcoming a full-time dependable and caring Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.

Having a great culture is essential to our team. We work hard every day and want to have a good time both in and out of the hospital. Our hospital has a culture team that focuses on how to make our work-life better! We enjoy fun activities together outside of work, celebrate events/wins, seek regular feedback from every team member and are continually trying to improve as a place of work.

Exceptional client service skills
Compassion and nurturing attitude
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and adapt to changing situations
Take initiative and work independently
Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate an asset

Some of the skills and responsibilities include:

Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents
Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients
General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
