About Us
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Position and Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.
- Identifying, documenting and reporting any maintenance concerns to support continual improvement throughout the operation.
- Responsible for handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
- Assist senior operators with routing and project related tasks as required.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- equivalent combination of education and experience considered;
- valid class 5 driver’s license;
- team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
- required to work both on surface and underground; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
- experience working in an industrial environment;
- potable water treatment experience; and
- level 1 and 2 water treatment and level 1 wastewater treatment certification.
Conditions of Employment:
- pre-employment substance test.
