We're looking for a hands-on Prep Technician Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. In this role, you'll lead the preparation, assembly, packing, and quality review of exhibit structures and event components, ensuring every project is event-ready, on time, and built to the highest standards.

As the Prep Technician Lead, you will:
- Lead and direct prep technicians and contractors on assigned projects.
- Review staged projects to ensure quality, accuracy, and completion before shipment.
- Interpret blueprints and pick lists to verify all exhibit components are accounted for.
- Assemble, install, dismantle, and prepare exhibit structures and related components.
- Safely pack exhibit materials on skids and crates according to company standards.
- Ensure all projects are prepared efficiently while meeting strict production schedules and event deadlines.
- Troubleshoot project issues and collaborate with the Prep Supervisor to develop effective solutions.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow company health and safety policies and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate production and time records for payroll and project tracking.
- Consistently follow company processes and quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of related experience in exhibit production, event staging, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading or directing small teams is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation.
- Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts (such as scissor lifts).
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, move, assemble, and dismantle exhibit structures in a physically active environment.
