Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Server/Porter to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services during events, ensuring smooth operation of banquet functions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food service and hospitality industry while delivering memorable experiences to our guests.

Duties

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner during banquets and events
Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations
Assist with food handling, presentation, and replenishment throughout events
Clear tables and assist with cleanup after events to maintain a clean dining environment
Provide guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards
Support event staff with porter duties such as transporting supplies, equipment, and linens as required
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, storage spaces, and banquet rooms before, during, and after events

Skills

Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
Ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as needed

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
