Summary of the position: We are currently hiring 2 experienced Barista / Café Team Members to join our team. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about coffee, customer service, and working in a fast-paced café environment. Providing exceptional customer service while crafting delicious coffee and beverages.
Requirements
- Previous barista and/or café experience is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in multitasking and time management.
- Preference for candidates who live near Eglinton & Bathurst or surrounding areas
Responsibilities:
- Training Schedule (First 2 Weeks)
- Availability required for weekday evenings and full-day weekends
Work Schedule (Post-Training)
Shifts rotate weekly and include:
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso-based drinks (hot & iced) to company standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, measurements, and presentation
- Properly steam milk and prepare cold foam
- Maintain speed and efficiency during busy periods
- Greet customers and take orders using POS
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service
- Handle high-volume rushes calmly
- Assemble and package desserts (e.g., banana pudding, tiramisu)
- Maintain clean and visually appealing presentation
- Monitor portion control and minimize waste
- Label, organize, and restock dessert items
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace and equipment
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Restock supplies (cups, milk, syrups, toppings, etc.)
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Assist with content creation (filming drinks, desserts, behind-the-scenes)
- Follow recipes, systems, and workflows
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
