Job Description
HealthPRO Canada is seeking a Senior Analyst - Process and Solution Design to turn complex business processes into clear requirements, practical prototypes, and solutions that work in the real world.
The Senior Analyst – Process and Solution Design maps and documents priority business processes, designs practical future states, and translates them into clear, complete, and testable requirements for technology delivery. The role may support processes beyond sourcing, but its primary focus is sourcing, contract management, and procurement.
The role works across strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement operations, business stakeholders, control functions, product management, architecture, development, quality assurance, data, and change management. It remains engaged from discovery through development, UAT, release, and stabilization, so documentation stays current and delivered solutions reflect actual operating needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and create validated end-to-end process views, with the initial focus on source-to-contract and adjacent procurement processes, including roles, systems, data, decisions, controls, handoffs, variants, and measures.
- Define workflows, business rules, data needs, integrations, user roles, reporting, non-functional needs, acceptance criteria, and traceability that technical teams can design, build, and test against.
- Keep requirements, process maps, decisions, acceptance criteria, and traceability records synchronized as scope, design decisions, and implemented behaviour evolve through development and testing.
- Participate in refinement, planning, design reviews, demonstrations, defect triage, and release-readiness discussions; clarify business intent and quickly route unresolved decisions to the right owner.
- Use organization-approved tools such as Claude Code, where permitted, to create workflow prototypes, interface concepts, data mockups, and proofs of concept that accelerate stakeholder feedback.
- Review and test generated work, protect confidential information, and follow privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual-property, licensing, accessibility, responsible-AI, and production-release requirements.
- Develop risk-based scenarios and test assets, coordinate business testers, manage defects and evidence, report readiness objectively, and support formal business acceptance.
- Apply versioning, ownership, approval, review-cycle, and archive standards; help process owners maintain a measurable improvement backlog and reusable analysis and testing practices.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressive experience in business analysis, process improvement, product delivery, or transformation in complex cross-functional environments.
- Demonstrated ability to document decisions, exceptions, controls, systems, data, roles, handoffs, pain points, and performance measures at the level needed for technology delivery.
- Hands-on experience eliciting functional and non-functional requirements, writing testable acceptance criteria, maintaining traceability, planning UAT, coordinating testers, and supporting sign-off.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, procure-to-pay, inventory or order management, supplier management, finance operations, ERP implementation, or ERP-enabled transformation. Direct strategic sourcing or RFx experience is an asset, not a prerequisite.
- Experience working through discovery, refinement, design, build, testing, release, and stabilization in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments.
- Ability to use approved AI-assisted coding or prototyping tools, inspect and explain generated outputs, and collaborate with engineers when a concept moves toward production.
- Strong workshop facilitation, process visualization, business writing, analytical reasoning, conflict resolution, and executive-ready communication skills.
Assets
- Experience improving ERP, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, procure-to-pay, e-sourcing, contract lifecycle, supplier management, inventory, order management, or spend-analytics platforms.
- Experience in healthcare, group purchasing, public-sector procurement, or another regulated and audit-sensitive setting.
- IIBA ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP; PMI-PBA; Lean Six Sigma; CSPO/PSPO; or an equivalent certification.
- SCMP, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or a relevant SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable enterprise-platform certification or designation.
