Administrative Volunteer – Physiotherapy Clinic (Oakville)

Location: 338 Kerr Street, Oakville, ON
Workplace: Located inside Avella Pain and Injury Centre
Hours: Friday, between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Type: Volunteer Placement
Future Employment Opportunity: Potential paid employment may be available upon successful completion of the volunteer program.

This position is ideal for students, new graduates, or individuals seeking Canadian healthcare administration experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Administrative Volunteer to support the daily operations of our multidisciplinary healthcare clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare administration, customer service, medical office operations, or gaining experience in a professional clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments for Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), and Naturopathic Doctors.
Submit insurance claims and assist with insurance-related administrative tasks.
Welcome and assist patients upon arrival.
Maintain accurate patient records and appointment schedules.
Perform general administrative and reception duties as required.
Support clinic staff in ensuring efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Comfortable using computers, email, and scheduling software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting.
Previous customer service or administrative experience is an asset but not required.
