Early Learning Inclusion Advisor ( 6 month contract )
Location: Brantford Brant
Contract Term: July 1st , 2026 to December 31st, 2026
Hours: flexible based on needs. 20 – 25 hours per week
Reports To: Director, Wee Watch Brantford Brant
Position Summary
Wee Watch Licensed Home Child Care in Brantford Brant is seeking an experienced Inclusion Advisor to provide consultation, coaching, and support to home child care providers, families, and agency staff. The Inclusion Advisor will promote inclusive practices that support the participation, well-being, and development of all children in care, including those with diverse developmental, behavioural, physical, communication, and social-emotional needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and coaching to home child care providers on inclusive practices and strategies.
- Support home child care providers in adapting environments, routines, and experiences to meet the individual needs of children.
- Collaborate with Home Visitors/families to understand children's strengths, needs, and goals.
- Assist home child care providers in addressing developmental, behavioural, and social-emotional concerns through evidence-informed approaches.
- Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities related to inclusion, accessibility, equity, and belonging.
- Create and share resources that support inclusive early learning environments.
- Build collaborative relationships with our community partners and specialized service providers
- Support referrals and connections to community resources when appropriate.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of agency policies, practices, and programs through an inclusion lens.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Travel within the Brantford, Paris and Brant will be required
- Must have own vehicle
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' working experience supporting inclusion in early learning, child care, educational, or community settings for children 1 to 4 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of child development and inclusive practices.
- Experience providing coaching, consultation, and professional learning to educators or child care providers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation as travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and Resource Consultant designation.
- Experience working within home child care settings.
- Knowledge of local community resources and specialized support services.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
