Transdev Canada is hiring School Bus Drivers in Calgary for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year, with a focus on experienced drivers who already hold a valid Alberta Class 2 drivers licence.

Are you looking for meaningful part-time work with a schedule that still gives you time for family, personal priorities, or retirement? This role is a strong fit for professional drivers who want reliable weekday work, a local route, and a family-friendly routine with summers, PD days, weekends, and statutory holidays off.

As a School Bus Driver, you will help safely transport students to and from school while making a direct impact on families across Calgary. You will be trusted with precious cargo and supported with paid training, a positive team environment, and yard locations across all four quadrants of the city.

Your role

Safely transport students to and from school on time.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Support student safety while boarding, exiting, and crossing the street.
Communicate professionally with students, families, schools, dispatch, and supervisors.
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operating standards.

Competitive pay of $126 minimum guaranteed per day, with the opportunity to earn up to $156 per day depending on route assignment.

Your profile

Valid Alberta Class 2 driver’s licence required (Class 1 also accepted).
S Endorsement is an asset.
Good driving record.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Experience safely transporting people is an asset.
Dependable, safety-focused, and professional approach.

Pre-hire requirements

Clean driver’s abstract.
Clear criminal record check.
Clear vulnerable sector check.
Successful drug and alcohol test, including cannabis, which is prohibited under corporate policy.

Your location

This is a part-time split-shift position based in Calgary, Alberta.
Drivers work Monday to Friday for at least 2 hours between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, then return for an afternoon shift between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
You may park at one of our four Calgary yards, depending on operational needs and your location.
