Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Consultant to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to clients. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and proficiency with various accounting software. The Tax Consultant will play a vital role in ensuring clients optimize their financial strategies while maintaining compliance with current tax laws. Responsibilities

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements and data to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes throughout the fiscal year.
Perform audits and account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
Manage accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting processes related to client accounts.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools to maintain precise financial records.
Provide guidance on investment-related tax implications and strategies.
Support clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations through accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to advise clients effectively.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools.
Strong analysis skills for interpreting financial data and identifying opportunities or discrepancies.
Experience with auditing processes and account reconciliation procedures.
Knowledge of financial services including investment management, payroll processing, accounts payable, and budgeting.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and practices related to taxation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts clearly to clients.
