Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Assistant Floral Designer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant floral retail environment, assisting with the design and arrangement of floral displays, supporting sales, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, horticulture, and customer engagement, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. This position is perfect for individuals interested in developing their skills in floral design, merchandising, and retail operations.

Duties

Assist senior floral designers in creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, events, and daily retail displays.
Help manage merchandising efforts by organizing floral products, seasonal displays, and promotional materials to enhance visual appeal.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with selections, answering questions about floral products, and offering design suggestions.
Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and processing payments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including tools, supplies, and display areas.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and meet sales goals through effective communication skills.Qualifications
Previous experience or interest in horticulture, gardening, or floral design is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in arranging flowers and managing displays.
Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, retail sales, cashiering, and merchandising is desirable.
Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently.
Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and good interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms or social media marketing is advantageous.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a dynamic retail setting.This position offers an engaging environment for those passionate about flowers and customer service while providing opportunities for professional growth within the floral industry.

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
