About RVezy
RVezy (https://www.rvezy.com/) is an innovative travel experience company that brings aspiring vacationers and RV owners together. Founded in 2016, we provide a platform for RV rentals available across most of Canada and the United States.
RVezy serves thousands of hosts and guests across North America, and you will be helping ensure they have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience throughout each RV rental. We have a tight-knit team that has meaningful relationships with one another. To see how we started, check out our pitch on Dragon’s Den (https://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/pitches/rvezy). About the role
As Head of Product, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy that powers RVezy's next phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you'll translate company vision into product initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. You'll own the product roadmap, lead prioritization and planning, and work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences for both RV owners and renters.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution. You'll have significant influence over company direction and play a critical role in scaling RVezy's marketplace across North America.
This is an existing role.
Key responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Founder & CEO to translate company objectives into a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring priorities align with company goals, customer needs, and business opportunities.
- Lead product planning, prioritization, and decision-making across the organization.
- Drive product initiatives from discovery through launch and optimization, balancing speed, quality, and impact.
- Collaborate with Engineering to deliver high-impact solutions efficiently and effectively.
- Establish and lead quarterly product planning and OKR processes.
- Use customer insights, data, and market opportunities to inform product decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketplace performance, including acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, supply growth, and monetization.
- Monitor product performance and ensure investments are tied to measurable business outcomes.
- Support RVezy's expansion across North America by identifying opportunities to reduce friction, improve marketplace liquidity, and strengthen the customer experience.
- Build alignment and clarity across teams by communicating priorities, trade-offs, progress, and results.
- Mentor and support RVezy’s existing Product Manager, leveraging their deep institutional knowledge while providing clear direction, coaching, and alignment on product priorities.
Qualifications:
Competencies, skills, and attributes:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including experience leading product strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Experience working in a marketplace, platform, SaaS, or other multi-sided business environment.
- Strong understanding of growth levers, including acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, and monetization.
- Experience partnering closely with founders, executives, or senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate company vision into clear roadmaps, priorities, and execution plans.
- Strategic thinker with a strong bias toward action and execution.
- Ownership mindset with a focus on outcomes over process.
- Highly curious and able to quickly develop a deep understanding of customers, products, and business models.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect product decisions to company performance.
- Comfortable making decisions and moving forward with imperfect information.
- Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confident and thoughtful in challenging assumptions, influencing decisions, and driving alignment.
- Adaptable, resilient, and energized by working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Bonus points if you:
- Have founded or co-founded a company.
- Have been an early employee at a high-growth technology startup.
- Have experience working in a marketplace business such as Airbnb, Turo, Rover, Upwork, Fiverr, Hipcamp, Jobber, or a similar platform.
- Have built or scaled a product function from the ground up.
- Have experience launching or scaling products across multiple geographies or international markets.
- Have worked in a consumer marketplace, travel, sharing economy, or two-sided platform environment.
This role may not be for you if:
- You're looking to manage a large team of Product Managers rather than directly own strategy, prioritization, and execution.
- You prefer highly structured environments with extensive process, layers of approval, and lengthy decision-making cycles.
- You require significant direction, oversight, or hand-holding to be successful.
- You struggle to make decisions without complete information.
- You are more energized by managing people than by building products and driving business outcomes.
- You prefer maintaining existing systems over identifying opportunities and driving change.
- You're uncomfortable being held accountable for measurable business results.
- You aren't excited by the pace, ambiguity, and ownership that come with a growth-stage company.
