The Medical Radiation Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality radiologic imaging to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. In this role, you will be a key member of our healthcare team, collaborating closely with physicians and other professionals to enhance patient outcomes, with a focus on musculoskeletal and neurological care.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Patient Care and Service
- Perform high-quality radiologic exams promptly while adhering to imaging protocols.
- Follow requisitions and any special instructions to ensure accurate and relevant imaging.
- Apply clinical and technical judgment to optimize imaging results while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Provide compassionate patient care with a focus on pain management and improving functional outcomes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
2. Clinic Operations and Support
- Participate in an innovative medical clinic, contributing to the integration of advanced medical technologies.
- Assist with clinical activities and special projects as required.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
3. Clinical Collaboration and Imaging Support
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies and best practices within a modern clinical setting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience and Certifications
- Certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist from an accredited program.
- Active registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Previous experience in radiologic imaging is preferred, demonstrating applied technical skills in clinical settings.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions:
- The Medical Radiation Technologist will work primarily in an office/clinic environment at our Hamilton location.
- Standard work hours (Monday to Friday, day shift), with flexibility for evenings or weekends work to accommodate clinic needs.
- The role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong communication, and collaboration within a dynamic, high-volume setting.
Physical & Psychological Health Requirements:
- The role may involve physical activities, including extended periods of computer work, administrative duties, and managing equipment.
- Must be able to practice patience and empathy while interacting with patients experiencing both acute/chronic pain.
- Ability to assist patients entering or exiting the clinic with mobility challenges.
