The Equipment & facilities support is responsible for overseeing the organization and maintenance of vehicles, and facilities to ensure smooth operations in support of all programs and administration. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Strategic Operations

Salary range: $22 / hour
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Manage vehicle repairs and cleanliness
- Conduct weekly walk-arounds to inspect buildings and grounds, identifying maintenance or repair needs.
- Manage weekly waste, including garbage, recycling, and compost.
- Identify necessary repairs and maintenance for grounds, office buildings, bunkies, appliances, pest control, meeting technology (i.e. wall mounted monitors), etc.
- Ensure proper management of facilities such as sheds, and bunkies.
- Maintain equipment spaces and facilities to ensure they are always "donor-ready" and in optimal condition.
- Manage tasks such as dump runs, and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Ensure vehicle collision reports are completed by staff involved and their manager.
- Monitor the condition and safety requirements of boats and boat trailers, ensuring proper maintenance and safety equipment are in place.
- Operate vehicles with a trailer attached, both forwards and backwards.
- Commit to ongoing learning of Indigenous histories and ways of being to support informed and respectful work approaches to all aspects of work.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Hold a G class license
Skills:
- Perform duties as assigned, including heavy manual labor for extended periods at various heights in all types of weather and environmental conditions
- A safety-first attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to receive and follow detailed instructions, both oral and written, with a positive attitude
- Able to interact tactfully with supervisors, and co-workers
- Good problem solver and team player
