HOURS: Monday to Friday 9pm-6am (Flexible)

RATE OF PAY: UP TO $34 PER HOUR

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality pelleted livestock feed while ensuring equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Operate and monitor pellet mill equipment to produce high-quality pelleted livestock feed.
Set up, adjust, and monitor pellet mill equipment to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
Monitor steam, temperature, moisture, and die performance to ensure optimal pellet quality.
Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues or abnormalities requiring attention.
Receive and handle raw ingredients as required.
Operate computerized automation systems used in feed production and ingredient receiving.
Work collaboratively with other operators to maintain production efficiencies.
Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
Follow all company safety, quality assurance, HACCP, and food safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Previous manufacturing or pellet mill experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge of agriculture, livestock production, or the feed industry is an asset.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Comfortable using computerized production and automation systems.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven track record of reliability and dependability.
Effective team player with strong communication skills.
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing stairs, and working in a manufacturing environment.
