We are looking for a
Registered Nurse to work with our
Operating Room Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within the Operating Room Department.
The Registered Nurse is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis according to the standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and approved standards of care of the Corporation.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing

Recent Operating Room experience required

Completion of Perioperative Nursing Program required (from C.N.A, preferred)

Current BCLS certification required
-
Current ACLS certification required
-
Current PALS certification required
-
Peri-anesthesia Nursing Course required (completion preferred, or proof of completion within three (3) months of hire)

Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation Course required (completion preferred, or proof of completion within two (2) months of hire)

Ability to provide on-call coverage as part of regular on-call rotation is required

Recent PACU, Endoscopy, and Day Surgery experience preferred

Ability to function completely as a surgical team member in either the scrub or circulating role involving all services including Recovery Room.

Excellent organization, communication, multitasking, critical thinking, problem solving, prioritization, and teamwork skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Acceptable performance and attendance records
Hiring Salary Range: $41.15 - $58.98
