4-Month Seasonal Contract with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Muskoka Starlink is seeking a motivated field service technician / installer to join our team. This position involves working directly with homeowners and cottage owners, climbing ladders and rooftops, installing equipment, solving technical challenges, and representing Muskoka Starlink professionally in the field.
Compensation:
- $200 per day base pay
- Additional bonuses for productivity and specialized installations.
- Top installers regularly earn the equivalent of $30–40+ per hour.
Successful candidates will typically possess:
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops
- The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- A valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record
Relevant experience may include:
- Starlink, Bell, Shaw Direct, Xplore, or similar satellite installations
- Security camera, alarm system, telecommunications, or field service work
- Residential internet, cable, or network installations
- Construction, roofing, or other mechanically oriented trades
- Experience working directly in customers' homes or businesses
- Experience running and terminating network cabling
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi networking equipment and troubleshooting
- Experience using ladders and roof safety equipment
Working at Heights certification (training can be provided for the right candidate)
