Department: Operations / Yard & Inventory
Reports To: Inventory Manager, Operations Director

Job Summary
The Yard Labourer is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and inventory within the company’s yard. This role focuses on maintaining yard organization, supporting inventory control processes, and preparing materials for installation crews. The Stock Yard Labourer works closely with the Inventory Manager and Operations Director to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate stock management. This position does not involve field installation work but plays a critical role in supporting installation teams and overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials
Pick and stage orders for installation crews
Load and unload materials safely
Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts
Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
Identify and report damaged or missing materials
Operate equipment (forklift, skid steer, etc.) if qualified
Assist with general yard upkeep (snow removal, cleanup, organization)

Skills

Previous yard, warehouse, or construction experience preferred
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
Valid driver’s license required
Forklift or equipment experience is an asset

Working Conditions

Outdoor yard environment year-round
Physically active role involving lifting, walking, and material handling
Exposure to weather and heavy equipment
Steel-Toe Boots Required

Pay: $20.00 per hour
