Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. As the Head Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards, and manage a team of culinary professionals to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
Oversee all aspects of food service, from menu planning to presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs while minimizing waste.
Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu development, special events, and customer feedback.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and leadership within the team.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Solid knowledge of restaurant management principles and food industry standards.
Experience with food handling safety protocols and compliance with health regulations.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and front-of-house teams.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality cuisine is preferred.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead our kitchen team in creating memorable dining experiences while fostering a positive work environment built on teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
