Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Facilities Maintenance and Cleaning Specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our church and family centre spotless, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services and ensuring the smooth operation of facilities. Your proactive approach will contribute to a clean, welcoming environment that supports productivity and safety for all staff and visitors.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of the church and family centre, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas, using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, fixture checks, and equipment inspections to ensure operational efficiency. Mechanical skills and carpentry skills considered an asset
Maintain cleanliness standards by following established protocols and safety guidelines at all times
Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings or events within the facility as needed
Monitor supplies inventory and notify management when restocking is required to ensure uninterrupted service
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure quick resolution
Adhere to health and safety regulations to create a secure environment for staff and visitors

Requirements

Proven experience in cleaning, especially in commercial or facilities environments
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals used in facilities maintenance
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
Basic understanding of maintenance procedures related to facilities upkeep

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
