What we’re looking for:
This role is a Sales Focused role that serves as a complimentary role to the organization’s Strategic Core Accounts and works very closely with the designated Sales Director. In addition to working with the Strategic Core Accounts, this role is responsible for overseeing the various House Accounts that fall under Division as well as support the Division in training, sales, and the overall operation of the Division. The successful candidate must be a self – starter. They must be goals oriented, hands-on, and have the ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously. The successful candidate enjoys travel and continued interaction with consumers and customers alike. Similarly, this candidate brings a passion for coaching and training that motivates our team internally as well as adds consistent value to our customer base.
Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the portfolio’s product line including:
- SALES – Work with Sales Director to Support Key Strategic Accounts to achieve sales and gross margin targets
- SALES REVIEW RHYTHM – Attend Monthly team and individual calls to assess success
- HOUSE ACCOUNTS – Sole management and ownership of all House Accounts across Canada including but not limited to inquiries, requests, visitation, referrals etc.
- TRAVEL – Quarterly travel across Canada to support training, trade shows, and dealers support of Strategic Accounts
- CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS – Maintain strong relationships with all accounts
- STORE VISITATION – Engage in bi-weekly/monthly stores visitation with dealers with validation entered in the Scout 2.0 App.
- COMMUNICATION – Filter, manage and be involved in daily flow of internal and external communication. Timely communication is important.
- EVENTS – Plan and create quarterly schedule of events to drive sales
- PROSPECTING and LEAD GENERATION – Respond to all new customer inquiry tickets, calls etc.
- TRADE/BUYING SHOWS – Create timelines and a calendar for each event; organize product selection/samples/ fixtures, marketing materials and manpower requirements; Pack and wrap all necessary items for all Shows; Confirm booth location, size, rental showcases, electrical, carpeting, delivery etc. and ensure communication of all details to all parties; Arrange for delivery and pick up for all shows/venues.
- TRAINING and PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE COMPONENT – This role requires in- field training for Strategic Core Accounts and House Accounts that is ongoing and may take the form of in-person, online or video format. The content of this training will revolve around new product, promotional product, and product re-fresh content as it relates sales strategy. In addition to in field training, this role also requires training and product knowledge that is both brand agnostic and dealer agnostic as it involves planning and creating training resources for all Imaging dealers across Canada across all brands
Expectations:
- Product knowledge with all Brands over time
- Provide Training and Support for all Dealers and Sales Reps
- Provide customer service for all customers contact Gentec via phone call or online
- Provide field training when needed for retail sales associates.
- Maintaining and building relationships at all levels with key accounts
- Be proactive with sales initiatives, cross-selling opportunities, and events in the spirit of diving sales growth across the division.
- Work at the office 3-4 days per week depending on travel schedule
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 5+ years of prior sales experience in Consumer Electronics and Imaging
- Must have 2-5 years of Leadership experience in retail or distribution
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Must be self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities
- Strong written and communication skills, and ability to build and sustain key vendor relationships
- Proven track record of strong customer service skills
- Analytical skills – comfortable with Excel, MS Office, Power Bi and working with our ERP (Syspro) an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of the retail industry and /or distribution
- Must be self motivated and a self starter and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario
