Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy medical or dental office, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment, utilizing your office and medical knowledge to assist both staff and patients effectively.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy
Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and confirming patient visits
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Med-Access
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and correspondence
Coordinate communication between providers, patients, and insurance companies
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ambitious and keen to learn and incorporate new technologies into practice
Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus
