From carefully packing and cleaning belongings and spaces to supporting other restoration crews, you’ll bring care, precision, and positivity to every job. What You’ll Do
- Pack, catalog, and clean contents from disaster-affected areas
- Perform pre/post-construction and structural cleaning
- Clean fabrics, textiles, and various surfaces
- Use Encircle Restoration Software for inventory
What You Bring
- 1+ year experience in cleaning and/or moving
- Restoration experience is a strong asset
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong empathy and customer-focused mindset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting and safety-conscious
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software)
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
- Clear criminal record
- English proficiency, written and spoken

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Application question(s):
- Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
- Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have computer and/or tablet/iPad experience? Are you comfortable navigating and using applications for photos and recording information while on site?
- What are your oral and written expression skills in English, rated out of 10? [0=none; 10=expert]
- How would you handle a distraught homeowner and build trust with them during this stressful time?
- This position can be physically demanding and requires a person to bend, crouch, reach, kneel, etc. Heavy lifting is also a job requirement. Are you comfortable with this?
- Do you have experience in restoration? Have you ever used the software Encircle?
- Can you describe a time when your attention to detail helped prevent a mistake or solve a problem? What steps did you take to ensure accuracy?
- Are you comfortable driving a large sized fleet vehicle (large van or cube truck) around the city and parking in residential streets?
Experience:
- Packing (contents in a home): 1 year (preferred)
- Residential Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Driving Licence (required)
