We work with neurodivergent learners who may have developmental exceptionalities including Behavioural, Communication (Autism, Language Impairment, etc.), Intellectual (including Gifted) and Multiple (any combination of exceptionalities). About the Role:
Phoenix Private Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) to join our clinical team as a contractor or employee. This role is essential for designing, facilitating, implementing, and supervising Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) treatment programs within a classroom setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of professionals and clients with diverse exceptionalities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotional and behavioural dysregulation, and specific learning, language, and developmental disorders.
The clinical team emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices, including Direct Instruction, in its programs.

Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $30.00/hour - $200.00/hour based on job type .
- Schedule: Full Time 8:30am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)
- Contract Term: 12 months
- Location: Center-based position at 31 Nadolny Sachs Private in Ottawa.

Key Duties:
The RBA will perform duties related to the clinical oversight of ABA programs:
- Collect, review, and analyze ABC data.
- Graph data by percentage, duration, and frequency.
- Create and update student Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide staff training on BSP implementation and supervise staff in their delivery of BSP strategies.
- Respond to clients engaging in behaviours that may pose safety concerns within the school environment.
- Meet with the Clinical Supervisor and parents monthly per child, and meet with the clinical team as needed.
- Conduct screenings, assessments, or trial days for new clients as required.
- Write and implement programs for use in 1:1 sessions and/or classroom settings.
- Meet with clinical and educational teams as needed.
- Adhere to the CPBAO and BCBA ethical codes of conduct and follow all school policies and procedures.
- Meet and communicate with parents as needed.
- Respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Maintain professionalism at all times.
- Assist with preparing materials and delivering team training as needed.
- Submit monthly billable hours to the Executive Assistant at the end of each month.
Requirements
- Education/Certification:
- Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) certification.
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in a related field (e.g., ABA, Behaviour Science, Psychology, Special Education).
- Experience:
- Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, with 3 years preferred.
- 1–2 years working in an ABA setting with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or other diagnoses.
- Experience working in a classroom or school setting.
- Essential:
- Must obtain professional liability insurance for up to 2 million.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (must be provided by the successful candidate).
- Experience with the principles of ABA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel.
Collaborate closely with a diverse team of professionals, including the Clinical Psychologist, BCBAs, and RBAs, as well as educational staff such as Teachers, Educational Assistants, Instructor Therapists, and Administration.
Pay: $30.00-$200.00 per hour
