The National Capital Commission is looking for a Director, AREE for an indeterminate position. The position is classified as a RÉ-08 ($154,301 to $170,710 per annum - under review).

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Audit Executive is accountable for the development and management of the internal audit of programs and services of the NCC in order to provide the CEO and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors (Audit Committee) an independent opinion and level of assurance on the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of NCC operations as well as the adequacy of the NCC’s risk management, control and governance processes.
As Director for Research and Evaluation, the position is accountable for the development and management of the research and evaluation of all programs and services of the NCC in order to provide the CEO and the Executive Management Committee (EMC) with independent and objective, evidence-based assessments of the performance of programs as well as support decision making with respect to their continued relevance, success and cost effectiveness (value-for-money).
As Senior Officer for Disclosure under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act (PSDPA), supports the CEO in meeting the requirements of the PSDPA. Helps promote a positive environment for disclosing wrongdoing and deals with disclosure of wrongdoing made by NCC employees.
As Senior Ethics Officer, provides corporate leadership on ethical practices and behaviors and offers advice on ethical dilemmas.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Must have either a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) accounting designation or an accreditation as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in managing and conducting audits and investigations, in compliance with the IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework, and experience managing and conducting research and evaluation studies as prescribed by professional organizations such as the Canadian Evaluation Society or the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association.

- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace.
