Full job description

Pinecrest Construction is seeking an experienced Drywall Finisher (Independent Contractor) for residential renovation projects throughout Ottawa.

This is a project-based subcontract opportunity for an independent contractor who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to produce smooth, paint-ready surfaces
Complete drywall repairs, patching, and texture matching
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Work independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of drywall finishing experience
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
Own transportation and professional tools
Valid WSIB Clearance Certificate (or exemption, if applicable)
Commercial General Liability Insurance

Compensation

$30.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and project requirements.
For applicable projects, compensation may also be offered on a per square foot basis, depending on the scope of work.
