Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or damage. Prior experience in law enforcement or security-related fields is highly valued, along with familiarity with surveillance systems and CCTV operations.

Requirements:

✔ Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and Smart serve (or we can help you obtain one)

✔ Professional appearance and strong

communication skills

✔ Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team

✔ Customer service experience is an asset

Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical or safety situations
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations
Control access points by verifying credentials and issuing visitor passes as needed
Conduct security checks on equipment, facilities, and personnel to uphold safety standards

Skills

Prior experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred
Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV operation and monitoring systems
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or high-pressure situations
Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
Physical fitness to patrol large areas and stand for extended periods
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
