What will you be doing!

Leading MS improvement initiatives across the organization and the associated change management elements.
-
Providing guidance or assistance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of MS documents.
-
Providing guidance on the selection of applicable MS standards based on the scope of work.
-
Organizing and participating in the management review of the organization’s processes and programs and their supporting governing documentation.
-
Leading improvement initiatives: facilitating changes resulting from updates to regulations and ensuring changes are implemented correctly within documentation.
-
Assisting the organization with business process definition and management.
-
Promoting adherence to MS procedures within CNL.
-
Promoting awareness to all individuals within CNL on the MS through training, presentations, and the MS webpage.
-
Reporting MS-related issues to Functional Support Managers and to the Director, MS.
-
Liaising with Regulatory Affairs and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) for changes affecting Licence Conditions Handbook Lists.
-
Coaching management and staff on MS-related self-assessments.
-
Supporting audit process; being a CNL liaison with Registrar, Regulator, or internal audit, and participating in customer audits as requested.

Assessing adequacy, effectiveness and suitability of business processes required to support a management system.

Assessing MS against ISO 9001 and N286 requirements and identifying areas for development.

Preparing the Annual Safety Report for Management System Safety Control Areas.
-
Assessing Internal MS review data, developing high level statement(s) of findings, and recommending improvements to top management.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

Education
-
University or college graduation in a relevant discipline (e.g. Management, Business Administration, Law, Quality, and Operational Audit) or 15 years equivalent combination of formal training and experience is required.

Experience
-
Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring strategies, frameworks and/or business models.

Experience in conducting research, analysis and development of policies, guidelines, plans, and reports.

Experience in preparing briefing materials.

Experience leading, coaching, and negotiating with teams and superiors.

Experience and leadership ability in core business operations functions, such as strategic planning and implementation, database management, and internal compliance, in a complex, dynamic environment.

Experience developing, implementing and monitoring operational improvements resulting in more efficient and effective processes, procedures and plans.

Experience using interpersonal skills to effectively explain, negotiate, persuade and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Experience in identifying, troubleshooting, and escalating issues effectively.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
