Job Description: Ottawa Poolworks is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Helper & Delivery Driver to support our operations during the busy summer season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and being part of a fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver commercial swimming pool equipment, chemicals, and supplies
- Load, unload, and organize deliveries, ensuring items are secure and handled properly
- Ensure delivery is compliant with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements
- Fill chlorine containers and chlorine solution tanks accurately and safely
- Follow proper procedures for chemical storage, handling, and PPE usage
- Acquire signatures from recipients for delivered products
- Maintain and clean company delivery trucks, reporting maintenance or service needs promptly
- Verify delivery orders against packing lists and ensure accuracy
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and stock preparation
- Communicate effectively with clients, operations staff, and management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Other tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Previous delivery, warehouse, or commercial driving experience preferred
- Previous experience in pool service, mechanical maintenance, or a related trade preferred
- Forklift certification and experience or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more)
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and PPE requirements
- Attention to detail & problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Adaptability and flexibility with schedule changes
- Communication with supervisor
- Receive and execute instruction
- Effective oral and written communication skills with co-workers and customers
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain personal work performance in the face of setbacks
Additional Information:
- Ability to handle physical demands and work in varying weather conditions
- Steel-toe footwear is mandatory

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
