SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This role aligns with the duties of a Governance and Compliance Advisor, and will support Corporate and People Services during a policy renewal project, which is aimed to review, update and modernize the policy suite consisting of 70+ instruments, this fiscal year; and will play a key role in strengthening governance practices and ensuring the corporation meets legislative and central agency requirements.
In this collaborative role, you will work closely with teams across finance and procurement, human resources, and information technology (IT) and protection to develop and implement governance, compliance, and policy frameworks, including drafting and updating corporate policies. Together, you will support effective planning and help deliver on Ingenium’s mandate while ensuring all legislative obligations are met.
EDUCATION
University Degree and/or acceptable combination of education and experience in a related field
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three years’ experience in:
- Collecting, organizing, summarizing, researching, and tracking files
- Managing a policy framework
- Writing and reviewing policy instruments beginning to end, including managing the consultation cycle and approvals
- Conducting research, identifying, and writing about issues in the internal and external environments
- Working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to advance organizational objectives
- Making recommendations to senior management and executives
Conducting GBA+ or similar analysis of the policy framework is an asset

KNOWLEDGE
Extensive knowledge of:
- The mandate, strategic objectives, and corporate structure of Ingenium
- The federal Crown corporation legislative regime
- Federal public service legislative and policy frameworks related to at least two of the following: finance, procurement, IT, human resources, security, conflict of interest and values and ethics, access to information and privacy
The government’s results and delivery approach and related policy instruments
