Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lodge Chef to support culinary operations at our lodge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a hospitality setting. As Lodge Chef, you will ensure food safety standards are met, and create menus that delight our guests. This role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills within a dynamic environment dedicated to excellent service and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with lodge standards and guest preferences
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest expectations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations and industry best practices
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate serving times and guest service
Lead by example in hospitality, demonstrating professionalism and leadership in all interactions

Skills

Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
Excellent team leadership abilities
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and regulations (Food Safety)
Ability to develop creative menus that appeal to diverse tastes
Exceptional skills in food industry practices, including kitchen experience and hospitality services
Demonstrated ability to oversee food safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with staff and guests
