Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team for the 2026 season. The Asphalt Raker plays a crucial role in the paving process, ensuring that asphalt is evenly distributed and properly finished for high-quality road surfaces. The successful candidate would preferably have at least 2 years experience working with asphalt, be dependable, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Rake and spread asphalt materials to achieve a smooth and even surface.
Collaborate with crew members to build and pave roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces as needed.
Monitor the temperature of the asphalt to ensure optimal conditions for application.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment at all times.

Skills

Experience in paving techniques and processes, with a focus on building durable surfaces.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
