BlueridgeOMS is a full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, receiving referrals from dentists and other medical professionals. Our office continues to grow exponentially and we need the right person to join our team. BlueridgeOMS covers call and has OR time at Joseph Brant Hospital.
At Blueridge OMS, we center the care we deliver to our patients around three principles: surgical excellence, convenience and innovation.
This position is full-time.
In this role, you will be asked to:
- greet and facilitate our patients as they arrive and leave for their appointments,
- complete scheduling and billing procedures as needed, working with insurance and government programs
- communicate with patients, dental and medical offices, hospital units and departments as required
- Organize letters to be sent to referrals regarding treatment
- Organize clinical and patient confidential files using electronic health records software (Dentalware)
- answer phone calls and respond to voicemails
- work with the team to facilitate patient flow during the day
- work with the doctors to facilitate patient care and scheduling. This includes organizing the beginning and end of day task list.
*** Minimum one year previous experience as a dental receptionist / treatment coordinator is required***
Hours: 35-40 per week
