What You’ll Bring to the Guest Experience
As a Line Cook at Nisi, you are responsible for creating an exceptional culinary journey through precision, consistency, and execution.
Food Preparation & Culinary Execution
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, chef standards, and plating expectations
- Execute dishes with speed, consistency, and pride during service
- Maintain mise en place levels throughout the shift
- Follow all ticket timing and communication standards with Expo and Chef
- Support daily prep production including proteins, sauces, vegetables, and garnishes
- Execute features and chef specials with attention to detail
- Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen reflects Nisi’s quality standards
Station Readiness & Kitchen Excellence
- Arrive shift-ready with your station fully stocked and organized
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and service-ready workstation
- Monitor product levels and communicate low inventory proactively
- Rotate stock using FIFO and proper labeling standards
- Support opening, shift change, and closing duties to standard
- Keep equipment, tools, and stations organized throughout service
Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Maintain safe temperatures, storage, and product handling
- Sanitize cutting boards, knives, surfaces, and equipment consistently
- Keep kitchen floors clean, dry, and hazard-free
- Ensure all prep items are labeled, dated, and stored properly
- Contribute to a clean and organized BOH culture
Teamwork & Kitchen Support
- Support fellow cooks, prep team, dish, and leadership as needed
- Communicate clearly on ticket times, refires, and 86’d items
- Step into different stations when service requires support
- Embrace coaching, growth, and culinary development opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance kitchen culture

Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and cooking fundamentals
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience in high-volume kitchens is an asset
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
