Job Description:
As a key member of the Production Control Team and under the direction of the Production Control Assistant Manager, the Production Control (PC) Supervisor is responsible for managing the Production Control Leaders and material handlers along with all the functions and duties assigned to those roles. The PC Supervisor is also responsible for the training and development of new team members.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operation of the PC team: the PC Leaders and Material Handlers

Assist with receiving products and coordinating deliveries
-
Assisting the preparation of loads for shipment
-
Take steps to avoid quality control issues
-
Prepare and manage clear and concise SOPs that will guide PC team members in their day-to-day operations and provide clear guidance to team members
-
Work closely with material handlers and logistics coordinators to understand the business processes
-
Carry out Company practice/policy in the areas of work expectation, discipline, training, and personnel administration
-
Responsible for delivering objectives related to safety, cleanliness, quality, cost and productivity
-
Encourage a positive working relationship with PC employees and leadership, including fair and equal administration of the contract

Facilitate internal team meetings
-
Calculate daily labour hour requirements to ensure proper utilization of manpower (including overtime and vacation)
-
Coach safety, quality, and productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
-
Create a conducive work environment for employees to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
-
Support continuous improvement and coach problem resolution
-
Build employee capability, communication and recognition
-
Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility
-
Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, and to the delivery of products to customers
-
Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover logistics responsibilities
-
Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
-
Effectively implement the engineering change process
-
Identify data gaps and take corrective actions
-
Assist with other projects within the Company as assigned

Other Production Control duties as required
Qualifications:
-
1-2 years’ experience in a related field within an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent testing, and/or demonstrated work experience
-
Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to supervise, coach, and identify development needs of employees
-
Previous experience creating SOPs
-
Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail
-
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and initiatives
-
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
-
Experience with ADP/Work Force Now is considered an asset
-
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
-
Understanding and experience with deliveries and shipments within a manufacturing environment
-
Knowledge of international standards (IATF, ISO, etc.,) and client audits required
-
Strong morals and ethics, along with commitment to staff privacy

Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask

Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced environment

Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
