JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Spa Director, the Aesthetician plays an essential role in delivering exceptional spa experiences while upholding the renowned standards and protocols of the Grotto Spa. This position is responsible for performing professional aesthetic treatments, maintaining treatment areas and equipment, recommending home care products, and creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for every guest. RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform aesthetic treatments on time and according to Grotto Spa protocols and standards
· Ensure daily organization and cleanliness of treatment areas and dispensary
· Recommend retail products and create personalized prescription forms for guests to support continued home care
· Promote spa and resort offerings, including upcoming events, promotions, and specials
· Maintain equipment and report any concerns promptly for immediate follow-up
· Follow all sanitization and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
· Uphold strict guest confidentiality standards
· Work collaboratively within a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment while assisting co-workers as time allows
· Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
· Follow all Grotto Spa policies, protocols, and SIAC code of conduct
QUALIFICATIONS
· Valid and current Aesthetics certifications required
· Passion for the spa industry with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and styles
· Professional, personable, and able to maintain composure in all circumstances
· Strong commitment to punctuality, professionalism, and guest care
· Ability to uphold all Grotto Spa standards and expectations
· Able to perform 4–6 one-hour treatments per day
· Ability to work weekends and holidays
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Exclusivity of working within the Parksville-Qualicum Beach (Oceanside) area to Grotto Spa preferred
