Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage service, food safety, and cash handling, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The position emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and excellent communication to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and ensuring quality standards are met.
Operate POS systems for order processing and payments while maintaining quick service times.
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety standards.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously during busy hours.
Previous experience in serving or food preparation demonstrates reliability and competence in food service operations.
