JPD Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Carpenter with a first aid certificate for an upcoming long-term project in Nanaimo, BC.
JPD Staffing is a construction staffing company based in British Columbia, supporting general contractors and construction projects across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Island with reliable and safety-oriented manpower solutions.
Tentative Start Date
Mid July 2026
Schedule
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Availability 24/7 to work in rotating shifts
- Overtime involved
Carpenter Responsibilities
- General carpentry work on site
- Wood and metal framing
- Installation of blocking and backing
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Reading basic drawings and layouts
- Use of hand and power tools
- Assisting with general construction activities
Carpenter Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of construction/carpentry experience required
- Experience with framing is required
- WHMIS certification required
- Additional certifications are considered an asset
- Reliable, safety-oriented, and punctual
- First Aid Certificate
