About the Opportunity
Bin 4 Burger Lounge is seeking a Server / Variable Manager to join our Nanaimo team. This role is flexible and can be tailored based on restaurant needs as well as the experience and career goals of the successful candidate.
You will work closely with the General Manager, Assistant Managers, and Home Office to drive high standards and deliver an exceptional guest and staff experience.

Job Overview
Server / Bartender
Responsibilities include: opening, closing and stocking the restaurant for service. Serving guests to Bin 4 standards. Maintaining service sections and the guest experience. Thorough and ongoing understanding of our menu. Answering phones, taking and ringing in takeout orders. Continuous stocking of restaurant supplies. Running food and drinks. Handling payments and shift cashouts.

Variable Manager
The successful Variable Manager is a hands-on leader who leads by example. You are an excellent communicator, coach, and problem-solver who remains calm under pressure. You address performance issues promptly while also recognizing and praising great work. You strive for exceptional customer service.
You value systems, standards, and attention to detail, and you actively promote a strong health and safety culture within the restaurant.
- $23 per hour plus tips while variable managing.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the management team and Home Office to uphold standards and deliver exceptional guest and staff experiences
- Lead, coach, and organize the restaurant team
- Play an active role in daily restaurant operations, identifying and resolving guest issues
- Drive Bin 4 systems, quality, and consistency standards
- Facilitate clear communication between management, service, and kitchen teams
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Support and execute current store initiatives
- Promote and model a strong health and safety culture
- Step into serving and/or bartending roles as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A positive, “glass half-full” attitude
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Front-of-house experience is needed
- Post-secondary education and/or skilled trades certification is an asset
