Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Operations Team Member to join our team. This role plays an important part in supporting daily operations at the garden centre, including yard maintenance, material handling, equipment operation, and deliveries. This position is well suited to individuals who enjoy physical, hands-on work, are comfortable operating equipment and vehicles, and can adapt easily and jump between tasks as priorities change throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and upkeep around the garden centre yard
Load and unload trucks using a tractor with a bucket or forks
Complete deliveries using a mini dump truck
Drive a cube van to complete plant and product deliveries
Load and unload customer vehicles with bagged materials and other products
Lift and move heavy materials as required for the role
Support greenhouse and retail staff as needed
Move between tasks efficiently to support daily operational needs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, equipment, and work areas
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements

Comfortable performing physical work, including regular heavy lifting
Able to switch between tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Experience operating equipment such as tractors, loaders, or similar machinery is an asset
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Previous yard, landscaping, delivery, or equipment operation experience is an asset but not required

Seasonal Note
