Job Summary
We are seeking a team oriented, skilled and motivated Red Seal Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy heavy truck and trailer repair to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to hard work and fleet uptime.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical components of trucks and trailers
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, etc.
Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repair or assembly tasks
Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify potential issues with tractor-trailers, or other industrial equipment before they become major problems
Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of diagnostics, engine repair (including diesel engines), transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting
Skilled in using schematics for complex wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and effectively
Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential
Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance is a plus
Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift heavy objects safely during repairs or maintenance tasks; physical stamina is required
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members.
