Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will be responsible for food preparation, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and responding to inquiries.
Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the service area, kitchen equipment, and dining area.
Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in quick service or fast food environments.
Culinary experience is a plus; familiarity with food preparation techniques is beneficial.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
