Maintenance Technician (a.k.a. The Fixer Who Keeps Everything Running Smoothly)

We’re looking for a part-time, hands-on, motivated Maintenance Technician who takes pride in fixing things before anyone notices they were ever broken. From squeaky hinges to complex systems, you’re the person who keeps our hotel safe, functional, and looking its best.

What You’ll Be Doing
General Maintenance
- Tackle repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Perform minor carpentry and painting work
- Troubleshoot issues and apply strong critical thinking skills to resolve them efficiently
- Take on additional tasks as needed—no two days are the same
Preventative Maintenance
- Stay ahead of problems by completing scheduled maintenance tasks
- Inspect the property and report potential issues before they escalate
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and other everyday essentials
Facility Support
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and ready for action
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment
Emergency Response & Teamwork
- Jump into action during unexpected issues like power outages or leaks
- Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to minimize disruptions
- Be a reliable, solutions-focused team member when it matters most
What the Job Is Like
This is an active, hands-on role where you’ll be moving, lifting, climbing, and problem-solving throughout your shift.
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work indoors and outdoors, including in variable or environments
- Spend extended periods standing, walking, and climbing ladders
- Work around noise, dust, and temperature changes
What You Bring
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Knowledge of building maintenance is required
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Whirlpool/pool maintenance experience is an asset—but we’re happy to train the right person
- Strong troubleshooting ability and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with physical tasks like lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends (required), evenings, and holidays

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
