Pay Grid: Professional ($20.90 to $29.45 per hour)

Reporting to: Head Bus Driver

Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Head Bus Driver, the Bus Driver drives planned routes on a schedule for the school.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

Drive school buses to take children to and from school or on field trips
Make sure that children are safe when boarding and leaving the bus, including crossing the street while the bus is stopped
Keep control of what children are doing during travel to ensure safety
May drive adults on chartered trips outside of school hours
Perform other related duties as requested.

Experience and Attributes:

Valid BC Class 4 Driver’s License, a clean Driver’s Abstract, and a reliable vehicle.
May need a Class 2 driver’s license with airbrake endorsement,
1 to 5 years of driving experience
Clean Drivers Abstract
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines prioritizes assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Motivated self-starter and with strong interpersonal skills.
Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check, including the vulnerable sector.
